What is neurodiversity?

Neurodiversity

Neurodiversity refers to variances in how our brains function.  Neurodivergent individuals have cognitive functioning that differs from what society deems as "typical." This can include neurodevelopmental issues such being on the autism spectrum, having ADHD, auditory or sensory processing issues, learning disabilities, and/or neurologically based mental health issues such as chronic anxiety, depression, OCD, or PTSD. These differences in brains styles affect how people perceive the world, communicate, and express and receive love.

Treatment Focus: Minds of all Kinds

Our goal is to move neurodivergent individuals and their loved ones to acceptance of brain style differences, so that all types of minds have a home in society.  We do this by offering therapy, coaching, consultation, or education for individuals, couples and families, as well as business consultations. Neurodivergent individuals often have grown up believing that they don't fit in, and their natural strengths often have been overlooked. We believe in utilizing strengths and findings strategies that work to overcome these feelings of "otherness" and any disabling features of one's neurodiversity; most commonly disabling anxiety needs to be addressed so natural strengths can more easily surface.
